The RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) completed its nationwide survey for all House of Representatives-District Representatives on their overall performance for the year 2022 after a thorough evaluation of the country’s top government and Cabinet officials’ overall performance.

𝗝𝗼𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗲𝗱𝗮 of Albay (2nd District) is the Top District Representative in the Bicol Region, with a performance rating of 90%. With a score of 88 percent, Representatives 𝗘𝗱𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗮𝗻 (Albay, 1st District) and 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝘆𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗱 “𝗟𝗥𝗮𝘆” 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗲 (Camarines Sur, 2nd District) are statistically tied for the second position.

Representatives 𝗧𝘀𝘂𝘆𝗼𝘀𝗵𝗶 “𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶” 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮 (Camarines Sur,1st District), Miguel Luis Villafuerte (Camarines Sur, 5th District), and 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲 “𝗗𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲” 𝗘𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗼 (Sorsogon, 1st District) share the third spot with an assessment score of 86%.

Representatives 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗿𝗼of Albay (3rd District) and 𝗢𝗹𝗴𝗮 “𝗔𝗿𝗮” 𝗞𝗵𝗼 of Masbate (2nd District) finished fourth with an 84 percent mark. Representatives 𝗔𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 (Camarines Sur, 4th District) and 𝗥𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗞𝗵𝗼 (Masbate, 1st District) are tied for fifth place with 80 percentage points.

Dr. Paul Martinez, Executive Director of RPMD, stated that the ratings and rankings of each District Representative were determined by their constituents based on the following factors: “𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻,” “𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻,” and “𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.”

In addition, the RPMD’s “Boses ng Bayan” survey shows that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte scored high evaluations for their work performance in Bicol Region. President Marcos scored 82 percent, while Vice President Duterte received 80% job approval.

The RPMD “Boses ng Bayan” survey conducted November 27-December 2, 2022, by RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc., is an independent, non-commissioned nationwide survey per District in every region with a total of 10,000 respondents who were asked, “Do you approve or disapprove of the way [name of District Representative] is handling his/her job as Congressman/Congresswoman?”. The margin of error is plus or minus one percent.
